>This morning I looked through the curtains this morning at 4.30am to a frost. Brilliant clear skies and calm winds allowed enough cooling overnight for the first frost of autumn 09 to occur after a day which under high pressure and brilliant blue, cloudless skies drove the thermometer towards 58 to 60 degrees for a high, likely 60 + degrees here locally in our south-facing, paved, back garden, but a fairly dry air mass and cloudless skies combined with increased darkness allowed us to finally see the first frost.. I had to get my scraper out and I always love the first scrape of the windshield…
