Texas prepares for potentially devastating Harvey & end to 12-year major hurricane drought

Just a couple of days ago Harvey had faded to near nothing over the Caribbean and now we’re watching the same system rapidly organise into what could be a major hurricane and America’s first since Wilma of 2005.

Pretty much all models point to Harvey coming ashore near Corpus Christi, TX late tomorrow evening / early Saturday as a MAJOR hurricane.

Rainfall will be an issue across a vast area of coastal Texas while on the coast, damaging winds and storm surge is also a big factor.
