Beijing, China sees hottest April day since 1993, then on record!

April came to a close in record breaking fashion over northeast China feeling more like late July rather than late April.

Hot SW winds pushed thermometers in Beijing to the highest levels since 1993 with a high of 32C.

Tropical Tidbits

The following day saw the thermometer reach a new April benchmark with a high of 33.5C (92.3F), surpassing the previous record of 33.0C (91F) set in 1988.

For perspective, the normal high to end April in Beijing is 23C (74F).
