The blistering heat is not confined to just the US side of the border. On June 21st Mexicali, home to Mexico’s hottest region reached a sizzling 124 degrees (51C), exceeding not just city but national record high for the month of June according to weather underground.


The June 21 reading fell just 1 degree shy of city and Mexico all-time record of 125.6C (52C) set in July 1995.
Too hot for the birds!
