Western US Turns Colder As Well As Stormier Into Mid-December

Rain is falling in San Francisco this morning and this is only the start of what will be a stormy upcoming 5-7 days with a more significant spell of wind, rain and mountain snow moving in tomorrow.

The storms are lining up out in the Pacific.

While it turns cooler, wetter and windier over Northern California, the heat has been on and remains on across Southern California with records tumbling in the Southland yesterday.

As you know, the jet is roaring across the Pacific and with each system which slams ashore, expect the trough to deepen over the Southwest while the ridge continuing to lift heights well above normal into Quebec.

As TOMORROW’S system crosses the Rockies Sunday, the lifts air from the Gulf and this looks to generate storms and big rain over the Plains and MS Valley while the next Pacific storm slams the West Coast.
