Well for the first times in many WEEKS, it’s rain and not snow that’s of concern, especially as warmer air get’s into the pattern and snow melts.
The frigid cold which produced more record cold late last week is now out over the Atlantic and the next system on the playing field is bringing and will bring HEAVY RAIN to areas hit hard by snow last week. The Mississippi and Tennessee Valley could see 3-6 inches of rain, which falling on frozen or part frozen ground combined with snow melt will cause flooding issues.
