We might be in March now but little has changed. Yet another major snowstorm is impacting a vast area from Dallas, TX where they’ve received a record 3.5″ all the way to NYC and eventually Boston where they approach their all-time snow record.
Here’s a pretty rare sight, snow covered streets of Downtown Dallas early this morning.

It was a balmy day yesterday with first 80s over parts of the Carolinas first 70s up into southern Virginia for the season but as this system slides east, which has dumped nearly 2 feet of snow on Kentucky, another major arctic high dives in behind. Another sub zero RECORD BREAKING COLD NIGHT coming up!

DC should get a solid 4-6″ from this.

According to the NWS, Oklahoma City received a record 4″ of snow yesterday.

Big temp contrast today between the 20s through the Mississippi/Tennessee Valleys and upper 70s/low 80s along coastal plain of the Carolinas!


Then in comes the next cold arctic high and where that fresh snow lies, it’s going back below 0 tonight. Expect records for ‘coldest so late’ to fall tomorrow morning.
Expected lows according to the ECMWF at 12z Friday.
