Further arctic highs drop out of Canada and we’ve more record cold on the way into early next week.
Plenty of WIDESPREAD snow cover already on the ground, only to be added to. This set’s up the runway for the Arctic-Siberian express top continue running along, providing minimal modification of the air mass.

The Eastern glacier extends unusually far south for this late in the season reaching down to nearly the NC-SC border.

39% covered and no reason why we can’t get more single digits in the Big cities down as far as Richmond, possibly Charlotte and at a push Atlanta.
Next big arctic high drops in behind the current system pushing through the TN Valley and Mid-Atlantic.
