Moline, Ill, Coldest ever night is set in snowiest ever January

It’s been quite the month for Moline, Illinois setting not one but two very significant weather records.

Situated on a bluff between the banks of the Mississippi and Rock River. It’s part of the Quad Cities metro which sits on the Illinois-Iowa border. Davenport sits on the Iowa side while Moline sits on the Illinois side.

January 2019 not only produced a record snowy month but also the coldest ever recorded air temperature.
