After dipping to -14.4C yesterday morning, Scotland and UK’s coldest since 2012 and only warming to -6.2C, the thermometer took a deeper dip last night to -15.4C which makes for Scotland’s coldest since 2010.

Another cold night tonight over the snowfields as skies clear after the showers of today. -12 or lower likely with coldest night of winter expected for southern Scotland, northern England.
While another system presents another snow threat Sunday, low pressure deepens south of Iceland next week and so we see milder SW winds.
