After a month of cloudy misty mornings giving way to warm sunny afternoons, North America has decided to give our beloved jet stream the kiss of life.

Our upper air setup has turned back to what we’d typically see even at this time of year. Sorry folks!

On the whole it’s not looking bad for England and Wales. In fact many parts could see less rain in the upcoming 10 days than in the previous 10 as SE bound fronts shall weaken as they come up against higher pressure.

Today and tomorrow’s sun and showers shall give way to low pressure. For Scotland and Northern Ireland it will be quite the change with a spell of wet and windy weather moving in later Wednesday. In fact we may go from unusually persistent stable weather to unseasonably wet and windy for mid June Wednesday evening.

Gales or severe gales are possible on exposed NW coasts and over the hills. Rain will be heavy and wind driven for a time.
