Moisture starved New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas face 1st string of 100s of summer!

As we progress into June, the models have the core of heat centred right where the worst of the drought is. This is coinciding well with my long terms ideas in which at least the front end of this summer will be hottest from the Four Corners to Texas and points north into the Dakotas.

Here’s the latest drought map.

Here’s why I think it could get hot up into the Dakotas this summer. Especially if drought worsens.

Check out the GFS through the next couple of weeks.
