Last weekend saw mountain snows in the interior Northeast and record lows in the Midwest/Ohio Valley.
6pm Update from the Adirondacks… Snow accumulated more since earlier this afternoon/evening of April 29, 2018. Snowing down to 1000' in some areas. I wonder if there's still skiing around in the mountains. #Whiteface pic.twitter.com/KuhFieqZbV

2.5” of new snow on the cold surfaces at 2,230’ elevation in southern Vermont. Snow is caked to the trees, looks gorgeous. #vtwx pic.twitter.com/u02UoCnrIA

Thanks to yesterday's snowfall, the morning of May 1st had the most Northeast snow cover since at least 2004 (records only go back that far). Torched away tomorrow, of course. pic.twitter.com/KCQLRzu3UC

3 days later and we get the first 90s all the way to New England on Wednesday.
Even warmer yesterday.
Last of the big heat today.
Approaching cold front with plenty of storms along it will make for a noisy night over the interior East, heralding the cool down this weekend.
A significant threat of damaging wind gusts is now expected across much of upstate New York into northern Vermont through this evening. A few tornadoes are possible across this region as well.
