No change on next week, NO BEAST FROM THE EAST!

No change to my thinking on this Sunday’s chill followed by a ‘bark but no bite’ ESE wind early next week before the next Atlantic low sweeps in Tuesday.

The coldest days come this weekend with tomorrow’s stinging NE wind followed by a clearer, calmer but colder Sunday where we may start off -3 to -6C widely, -15C over the snow covered Highlands and struggle to get much above freezing north of Carlisle.

Messy picture remains for France and Spain.

Latest GFS indicates the same scenario as yesterday and previous days.

Without a cold source to tap, the ESE wind which blows early next week is nothing to write home about.
