East Coast Mega Storm drops 59mb in 24 hours, Snow from Florida to Maine

Bitter arctic air sweeping straight from the arctic all the way into the Gulf of Mexico was met by warm, moist tropical air, a storm developed as a result off eastern Florida. As the low lifted north between frigid and sub-tropical air and over warmer-than-normal ocean, the system has exploded into a hurricane-like monster.

First measurable snow for Tallahassee, FL in 28 years

This is quickly becoming an epic storm system bringing the first trace of snow to Tallahassee, FL in 28 years and first 1+ inch to Savannah, GA since December 1989 as well as the 3rd biggest snowfall on record to Charleston, SC.

As the system winds up off the Mid Atlantic, wind, wave and snowfall has dramatically increased creating blizzard-like conditions with tidal surge flooding from New Jersey to Massachusetts.
