A strengthening jet stream promises not 1 but 3 fronts to sweep across the UK tonight through Monday morning. The first is currently pushing into western England, Wales and Scotland after bringing a soaking to Ireland earlier. Steady ENE progress shall be made through tonight with an exit into the North Sea during tomorrow morning.
Here's the latest rain radar. Rough rule of thumb – where's it's raining now, your morning commute will dry. Grey/damp where dry right now pic.twitter.com/PwIJ8miutk

Our next feature arrives Friday, associated with a deeper low but again the core gets deflected up towards Iceland with wettest, windiest weather confined to Ireland and Scotland.
It continues to be the Sunday system which we’re keeping our closest eye on. This system is no hurricane but more a deep or deepening low with tropical energy mixed in.
Following the initial spell of heavy, potentially flooding rains and gusty wind, the strongest winds may follow in the wake of the CF on the southern flank of the low.
Severe gale to storm force winds are looking most likely for Western and Northern Isles and exposed NW coast.
