A system sliding east through the Middle Atlantic region gets an added boost with coastal low pressure enhancement off the Delmarva. An ENE track more suited to fall or winter is bringing a widespread windy soaking today and tomorrow.

Watching closely for slow moving or stationary thunderstorms as these could drop 6+ inches within a couple of hours.

Aided by an unusually strong and far south jet stream, cool and dry to the north and warm, humid to the south as well as warm Atlantic waters has all the ingredients in place.
