Eastern heats peaks with LaGuardia hitting 101F, Heat focus shifts to Desert Southwest

The Eastern heat peaked yesterday with multiple records melting including an impressive 101 degrees recorded at New York’s LaGuardia Airport while Newark on the other side of the city wasn’t far behind with a record 99 degrees.
