The Mother’s Day Nor’easter certainly was impressive as the deepening coastal low generated gale-force coastal wind, flooding rain as well as heavy snow.

Nice swirl seen on visible satellite.

Nice wrap around onshore off the Atlantic.

Several spots above 2,000ft in Vermont New Hampshire recorded 4-8, locally 10 inches of snow on Mother’s Day.

Meanwhile down at the shore, heavy rain brought flooding to the streets of Avalon, New Jersey.

StormForce-1

As the weekend storm departs the East Coast, another pushes onto the West Coast. As it does so, we shall deepen the western trough while build an eastern ridge.

Temps quickly rise as south, southwest winds pick up.

With LP over the Midwest, HP off the Atlantic coast, sunshine and southwest winds are expected to drive Wednesday-Thursday temperatures beyond 90 degrees for the first time this year in Philly and possibly New York and Boston.
