Here’s the latest GFS ensemble showing the hooking up of Pacific and Greenland ridges which could force some cross polar flow and therefore seeding a deepening trough with Siberian as well as Canadian brand cold. With or without the help of Siberia, this will be by far the coldest air of the season for the Rockies, Plains and Lower 48.
