A large thunderstorm complex (likely an MCS) as blew up overnight bringing damaging wind, lightning and flooding rains, perhaps a few tornadoes too. Further south, notice the thunderstorms firing along the frontal boundary from the previous system now departing New England.

The next storm has now pushed through the Dakotas, dropping the heat and turning up the storminess this morning.
