I must say the CFSv2 and Canadian are going right to my idea with classic Icelandic trough Azores ridge = frequently unsettled across Ireland, Scotland, N England, NW Wales, warmer drier for bulk of England and near continent. However, wet ground is likely to disrupt the frequent heat surges you’d expect for Spain, Portugal, France and thunderstorms are likely to continue thwarting the build-up of heat. Dry ground aids in weakening Atlantic fronts as they cross the UK and approach the near continent but wetter ground may help hold together fronts, bringing a more significant spell of cool and wet to typically warmer drier SE England and France.
