FREE: US Father’s Day Weekend Outlook 2016 (Includes Video)

Written by on June 17, 2016 in Summer 2016, United States of America with 0 Comments

The 2016 Father’s Day weekend across the US will be dominated by record breaking heat in the West and Plains, comfortable in the Pacific Northwest, showery with storms along the Gulf Coast and Florida as well as the Upper Midwest while cool, breezy and cloudy for the Carolinas, possibly extending into the Mid Atlantic. The Northeast is fine, dry and pleasant with mild temps and low humidity.

While a low drifts away from the East Coast and high pressure builds over top, we’re watching for the potential for tropical development.

There is two heat cores over the nation this weekend, the first over the Plains and the other builds from Texas west into the Desert Southwest from Father’s Day on. While air temperature won’t be as severe on the Plains as it will be Sunday-Tuesday in the Desert, the combination of heat and humidity will make it feel every bit as bad.

As well as the intense heat we’re also keeping an eye on the western Gulf of Mexico next week.
