An intensifying low spreading wind, rain and cooler air into Iberia is helping push the warmest air of the year northward. We enjoyed our first 21C in the SE of England yesterday and today it should warm to 24C.
Further north across Northern Ireland and Scotland, we remain in the cooler, showery regime but in the sun, temps may reach 18C.
The core of warmth will be parked over the UK this weekend and focuses over Scotland by Mon-Tue where 26C is possible in the West Highlands. Further south that low will spread wetter and slightly cooler conditions into northern France and southern England.

The GFS shows the northward migration of subtropical air through this weekend and peaking over Scotland Tuesday next week but there’s indication that we have a significant cold shot dropping down late next week.
Yep, the GFS has snow returning to the Highlands.
ECMWF is hinting at a cool down too but slower than GFS.
See this morning’s video.
