A brisk WSW flow, cold mid levels but relatively mild surface, these heavy, gusty convective showers will continue through Tuesday.
As Katie continues to depart our vicinity, heights rise through Tuesday evening onwards allowing the atmosphere including wind to settle down. This will set the stage for a chilly, frosty night under clear skies.
Next wind and rain bearing front sweeps in from the Atlantic late Friday into Saturday.
Potentially the warmest air of the year lifts up through France and Germany late week as the next cold front approaches the UK forcing warm southerly winds.
