Latest GFS surface shows frequent, blustery showers feeding in across Northern Ireland, Scotland and N England tonight into Wednesday morning. Showers falling more as snow through the 2nd half of tonight.

Some accumulation is expected even to low levels across Northern Ireland and particularly Central Lowland Scotland with significant accumulation above 150-200 metres into the southern Highlands and Southern Uplands as well as Cumbrian Fells, North Pennines, N York Moors etc. This has prompted the Met Office to issue a yellow ‘be aware’ warning for snow and ice tonight and for tomorrow morning’s rush hour.

Snow is possible across much of England and Wales during the day Wednesday.
