Well that arctic blast we’ve been talking about for quite sometime has arrived over the Northern US.

Check out the 20-30 degree drop within the past 24 hours over the north-central states.

The next 7-10 days will see waves of arctic air sweep south out of Canada. The system which brought the snow in the last 36 hours to Minnesota is pushing up through the Great Lakes and clear skies mean a very cold night coming up.

This will be the first sub zero low for Minneapolis tonight and it may get down to -10.

The next several nights will be subzero but in the wake of two Alberta clipper systems, nights will be coldest.
