Factor in an air temp of 4-6C along with a steady rain and hill snow and SE gale on the coast from Fife to Aberdeenshire, it’s a pretty miserable time for this part of the world given that’s it’s been raining/snowing through much of the weekend and is set to continue through today into tomorrow morning.

The low spinning over Ireland and moving into the Irish Sea tonight has dominated the past weekend and on into the early part of this week. By Wednesday it finally clears bringing some drier conditions.

However, this is quickly followed by another frontal system in which the occluded front bends in a NW to SE orientation due to the influence of the cold dome across Europe. That means more wind, rain and snow for the hardest hit areas at the moment.
