The remnant low of former Tropical Storm Henri is having far reaching influence across Western Europe with heavy rain, flooding downpours and disruptive winds which has generated heavy seas.

While a band of heavy rain and gusty winds are found along and just ahead of the cold front which has extended down through the heart of Spain, within the warm sector (between east bound cold front and north bound warm front), storms have blossomed over France and southern England overnight producing flash flooding in areas.
Gale-force winds have affected the Portuguese coast and later today into this evening, the English Channel and North Sea coasts.
GFS surface charts show the centre moving up through the English Channel into the North Sea eventually moving onto the Norwegian coast later tomorrow.

Heavy wind driven rain will affect much of northern France and Low Countries tonight into Thursday.

Along and ahead of the cold front which extends down through eastern inland Spain, it’s much cooler behind but warmer out ahead.

Through the rest of this week into the weekend, the low moves out and high pressure builds in. Looks like nights could get quite cold for the UK.
