    VERY perceptive reporting on Erika and a look at the entire picture/situation. Forecasters here seem fixated on (1) whether she will remain a hurricane after going over the mts. of Hispanola – mostly “no”, that she will weaken and bring rain to FL. – maybe Carolinas, and (2) slight chance that she could head West, again as a Tropical Storm at best.

    They seem confused by the forecasts offered by conflicting models at this point. Based on model changes Erika went from a hurricane to caput! within a New York minute at around Midnight. Not believing it.

    Thanks! Hope the move goes well. Our family is moving soon also – never much fun…
