US Outlook: Record Heat To Be Followed by Significant Early November Cold Shot

We have a significant early November cold blast on the way this weekend but not before records for HEAT are threatened…

Yep, quite the temperature rollercoaster this week with 80s to near 90 Mon, Tue to a potential freeze Sat, Sun morning as far south as Tennessee.

In recent posts I’ve showed you the surface/mid and upper levels charts but tonight I want to show the actual day and night temps forecasted.

Here’s a first look at 2M temperatures the models are printing out.

WIDELY staying in the 30s during Saturday!

Another night of widespread 20s, even some teens for the mountain valleys of VA, WV and MD (outwith towns/cities) Saturday night.

Yep, with those kind’s of heights and greens representing precip, wouldn’t be surprised if wet snow flakes mixed with rain in NYC, Philly and even DC.

This cold shot will be short lived though as warmer air further west pushes the cold out into the Atlantic next week.
