Make the most of this weekend’s push of milder air from the southwest ahead of the front because temperatures will crash from 11 or 12C over Scotland down to just 2 or 3C by Wednesday as the first blast from the arctic drops south.

So, what about snowfall? The big question is availability of moisture. It’s not going to be a question of whether it’s cold enough because I believe the air will be plenty cold.
