Written by on September 12, 2013 in United Kingdom & Ireland with 0 Comments

Scotland

It’s a rather miserable evening across the bulk of the country with rain covering most parts but through the mid to late evening, the West should be clearing while the rain lingers into the first part of the overnight period. Through the second half of the night and it turns dry and clear with overnight lows dipping to between 3-11C. Mist and fog is possible once the rain clears.

Friday is a much better day albeit cloudy but through the afternoon and it should brighten up but it will feel cool with highs of only 12 to 15C. Expect showers, perhaps drizzle over the Southern Uplands.

Saturday looks dry and bright with decent spells of afternoon sunshine but it’s cool at 12-15C. It turns very wet and windy Sunday into Monday (see posts on the website)

England

It’s a wet night to come across central and eastern areas with clearing in the west. Through the overnight and rain should clear most areas towards dawn Friday, lingering in the far southeast. Lows of 8 to 16C.

Friday starts off dry but through the morning and into the afternoon, a band of rain spreads east across the South of the country, arriving into the Southwest by mid-afternoon then into London by dinnertime and early evening. Expect drier weather further north through the day across the Midlands but showers are expected from Manchester up towards Carlisle. Highs range from 13C in the North to 19 or 20C in the Southeast.

Saturday looks like a decent but chilly day with highs of only 12-15C but it turns wet and windy by Sunday into Monday. (see posts on website)

Wales

It’s a wet night across much of Wales but through the overnight and that rain should push east allowing clear spells to develop and with the damp ground, so mist and fog will readily form. Overnight lows stay mild at between 10-15C.

Friday starts off cloudy but largely dry and through the morning, sunshine should appear but some showers will linger, especially over hilly terrain. Through the early to mid afternoon as rain spreads across South and Mid Wales, staying dry in the North. Highs slightly down on today at 13-17C.

Saturday looks drier and brighter but cooler still at just 12-16C but make the most of it as strong winds and heavy rain arrives during Sunday. (see posts on website)

Northern Ireland

It should be an improving picture west to east across the country after a thoroughly wet day, albeit a mild one at 16-18C. Tonight turns clear and crisp with patchy mist and fog forming, expect lows to dip to between 4-8C.

Friday is a much better day with a mix of sun and cloud but much fresher feeling behind the front. Expect highs of only 12-15C.

Saturday should be another decent day but equally as cool with bright or sunny spells and light winds. It’s all change come Sunday as a deep low sweeps heavy rain and gale-force winds across the country. (see posts on website)

Ireland

After a wet first half of Thursday across the Republic, it’s a dry and fairly clear night to come with temperatures dipping away. Some spots may get down to 3 or 4C, widely 5-12C. A slight chance of a few showers in southern counties.

Into Friday and it’s looking fine, dry and settled with some decent spells of sunshine through the afternoon. A band of rain looks to stay largely south of the south coast but may clip the coast. Highs are down on recent days at between 13-17C.

Plenty more dry and sunny weather to come Saturday but a front will push across the country Sunday bringing heavy rain and strong winds. (see posts on website)
