Computer models show now-strong Hurricane Miriam taking a path which brings it ashore along the central Baja coast late this week. What’s significant is not so much the storm hitting this part of the world but the potential rainfall it could bring to the Northwest of Mexico/Southwest US as well as the Southern Plains. This precip which can be seen in the 5-day QPF chart.

Miriam will weaken as it comes ashore but between now and then, could become a major hurricane. Colder waters to it’s north and northeast will bring weakening by Thursday.
