Record Lows Will Be Threatened Tonight From North Dakota to Missouri

This graphic by AccuWeather says it all. I’ve been talking about this coming chill all week and here it comes. Expect low 40s for many across the Dakotas and Minnesota tonight with some rural areas likely falling into the chilly, near frosty upper 30s. The chill will extend south, southeast and deep into the same areas which were hottest this summer. While warmth isn’t completely over for another year. The extreme heat is however done and some may struggle to regain 90-degree days again. Expect lows all the way into Kansas and Missouri to fall through the 50s tonight. This air mass is comparable to late Sept or even early October. Brr. More tomorrow!
