The temperature is sitting at 101° and may be on the way to 104° before the normal 5pm peak. Today marks the first 100s for the Peachtree City since the blistering August 2007 heatwave. Highs during that hot spell maxed out at 104°, just 1° shy of the all-time record. This time around they may push that record or could even surpass it as computer models have Atlanta between 104-107° over the next 36 hours.

The city did set a new all-time record warm low of 83 in 2007 and I wouldn’t be surprised if this record was threatened either tonight or tomorrow night also.
