[error] A BAND OF RAIN WILL SPREAD ACROSS IRELAND TONIGHT, WESTERN AND CENTRAL UK DURING FRIDAY LIKELY BECOMING THUNDERY. EMBEDDED T-STORMS WILL DROP HIGH RAIN TOTALS IN SHORT PERIODS OF TIME CAUSING FLOODING! [/error]

We continue to see an increase in warmth and humidity ahead of a front working across Ireland and into the western UK tonight through tomorrow!

Over the next 24 hours we must pay close attention to this unfolding weather as we have potential for rains turning increasingly heavy, and torrential. As the low to the southwest deepens from 1000 to 996, this increases the rate in which heat and humidity flows from Iberia up into the UK. This will help the atmosphere become increasingly unstable resulting in thunderstorm development ahead and along the cold front. The system will work a band of rain across Ireland and southwest England tonight, spreading northeastwards through tomorrow. We’re likely to see thunderstorms bubble up within this precip canopy as the air heats and the humidity increases through tomorrow. Within these thunderstorms we could see tremendous amounts of rain fall within short periods of time, this not only greatly increases.

Lows tonight fall to around 14C in Glasgow but the humidity will make it feel warmer. London may struggle to get below 18C tonight.

While the heavy raind and thunderstorms spread up through Wales, NW England into southern and central Scotland, we should see brightness increase into the afternoon across the South and particularly the Southeast. London may see 27C tomorrow

By Friday the centre of circulation pushes northeast of Scotland and this will force the jet south of the UK, opening the door to cooler air. Winds turn northwesterly and this sets the scene for the weekend ahead. High by Friday may struggle to reach 20C in London and by the weekend it may only warm to 17 or 18C in London.
