Heatwave Looks To Last Through At Least Next Monday From Denver To DC

While looking at the ECMWF run for tonight, the heat wave with 95+F temps from Denver to DC looks to last through Monday of next week with little breakdown in the powerful upper ridge which covers all but the West Coast.

The Mid-Atlantic and southern Northeast will return to the heat following a few cool days after the last hot blast but for those living from Texas to the Dakotas there appears to be little relief in the hot weather over the next 10 days. While heat should ease from ther East Coast beyond Monday, the ridge and heat looks to reload and build back north into the Dakotas with yet more 100F temps. This later next week will, like we’re seeing just now, spread east.
