The intensity of the ridge now building from the S Plains to the central Rockies looks strong enough to support all-time record highs over the next 7 days. Houston, TX, Denver, CO, Wichita, KS, Glasgow, MT and countless locales in between may exceed 105 degrees with some perhaps eyeing 110.
The number of days at or above 100, the increasingly warm nights and scorching days will take their toll. Be safe in this extreme heat.
