Cold Weekend With Most Struggling To 10C, Feeling Colder In Wind And Showers May Fall As Snow Over Tops Of N Pennines
With colder air aloft, clear skies and light winds, this only means one thing, frost and subfreezing temps for inland areas of Scotland, northern and central England tonight and over the next 3 nights while rain spreads up into southernmost counties of England tonight.
While the south coast holds onto another wet, dreary day under plenty of heavy cloud, made colder by a nagging NE wind, further north up through the interior South, the Midlands, Wales, the North of England and Scotland, skies should be a mix of sun and cloud, feeling cool at a mere 7-9C and cooler when your exposed to that NE wind. Sleet and even snow could fall to low levels over northern Scotland, perhaps over the Southern Uplands and North Pennines in those heavier showers,
Sunday will be a repeat performance following overnight rural frosts and by Monday, a low sweeps into the UK from the Atlantic bringing wind and more heavy rains.
