It’s simple, ahead of the cold front, there was a screaming southwest wind which, along with strong March sunshine, produced a late April/May day from South Texas all the way up to Caribou, Maine where the temp reached 62 degrees.

Behind the front, daytime highs for Today will have been reached minutes past minute this, why, becauise the temps are now in the low 40s in the same areas which topped the 70s and these temps aren’t going anywhere near those values this afternoon.
