Severe & Record Breaking Cold To Sweep Europe Through This Week Reaching UK By Late Week
Daytime highs will struggle to -5C across the interior of Belgium, Netherlands and Denmark, -10C across parts of northeast France and through Germany down across the Alps and -15C to -20C across Poland, Russia down into the Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria as the vast cold pool sees a fresh injection of Siberian air.
Temperatures at night under clear skies, light winds, widespread snowcover and a frigid arctic high overhead will allow the temps across a large part of interior Europe to fall below -25C with several countries including parts of Germany, Poland, Russia, the Baltics, Scandinavia, Ukraine may drop easily plummet to -30C or colder.
