EUROPE: COOL IN THE WEST, HOTTER IN THE EAST!

The much talked about cooling over western Europe with the trough pushing into the western half of the continent, this has indeed aided in propelling temperatures uniformly into the mid to upper 90s with some 100s showing across far eastern Europe, whilst 70s are the rule from London to Paris with around 91 for Madrid, though I believe tomorrow may be the coolest day in Spain before the high rebuilds. This time of year often is tough to get cool air to stick arounbd as far down as Spain. The Netherlands which saw 70s in the south and low 90s in the far north of the country as the warm side of the bounadry remained over northern Netherlands has now pushed east, drawing in the cooler air from Scotland.

The sea level low which had formed a couple of days ago in the bay, is now just inland ,near Orissa.and at 996 mb.Seen in the evening map from Thai Dept.

Expected to weaken fast, it should precipitate some rains along its path following the axis corridor.

Before this current low, if you remember, an UAC had tracked thru central India and had remained stationary over

N.Gujarat/rajasthan. As expected, the map enclosed shows the UAC now along the international border, and should move westwards into sindh region..

We can expect rains along the sindh coast and southern interiors of the region for the next 2/3 days.Karachi sho

uld may receive about 10 mms of rain Saturday/sunday, with a bit more (40-45 mms) on Monday/Tuesday.

My observation as mentioned before, is that there has been a dearth of lows and depressions from the Bay of Bengal. There should be the lows that track westward/northwestward thru central India bearing heavy rains.

Now, this is all because of sparse and few western Pacific typhoons. In fact only one before the current Chanthu. These typhoons send pulses westward into the Bay.
