YOUR AMERICAN REGIONAL FORECAST

northern plains
Higher pressures are beginning to push north in between Pacific storms which is allowing more sun and upper 70s for the Twin Cities and low 80s for Chicago with upper 80s to near 90 and abundant sunshine for downstate Illinois, Missouri and out into Kansas.
southern plains
Today should see further showers and thunderstorms blow up and aided by daytime heating with some expected to become severe. Highs should range from the upper 80s to low 90s for east Texas from Houston to Oklahoma City. West Texas should see drier, sunnier and more settled weather with much lower dew points, highs shoulkd warm into the mid to upper 90s to low 100s across West Texas.
northeast
Unfortunately the Northeast is done with the sunshine and mild air of early June as heavy rains push through the region today with as much as 1-3 inches expected across the Mid-Atlantic. Highs today range from upper 70s for DC to Philly and only around 70 for NYC with Boston perhaps only managing upper 60s!
southeast
A hot day throughout the Southeast with spotty thunderstorms for pretty much anywhere with strong storms for far norther sections of Alabama and Georgia with a rough day in Tennessee. Highs should range from the upper 80s to low to mid-90s with high humidity, highest found nearer the Gulf but higher humidity should be found further north towards Atlanta and Montgomery with higher chances of afternoon thunderstorms. Lows should range for the low 70s from Atlanta to Memphis with nearer mid to upper 70s for New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast. Florida should see low to mid-90s from Orlando on north, whilst South Florida returns to nearer normal with highs expected to hit around 90 for Miami and Ft Lauderdale.
southwest
Yet another warm day for the Southwest, though the trough and cool pocket has noticebly cooled the upper air over the Southwest, holding expected highs today to 100 for Vegas and 103-105 for Phoenix, skies are expected to become cloudier with increasing winds also helping keep temps down from recent days. Death Valley may only warm to 112-115 rather than 119 today, though still warmer than the avareg high for July. Still, good spells of sun is expected throughout the region today.
northwest
Becoming increasingly more unsettled with rain and wind associated with the latest of Pacific storms.

U.S.A: COOLING DOWN ACROSS THE WEST AND WARMING UP ACROSS THE EAST

First of all, yesterday South Florida once again roasted in 95 degree heat in Miami and 97 degree heat in West Kendall, today the winds are returning to a more east, northeast direction which will help temps return to more normal levels of around 89-91 and storms shoulkd return to a more central position rather than right along the southeast coast regions.

Highs are expected to be hot and increasing humidity will add to the discomfort for the southern and southeastern states which out West the trough will drill cooler air in and the warm air out and back across to Texas. Highs for Vegas may only top the mid-80s in the next 3-5 days…

Vagaries of the Weather
India & Sub-Continental Asia Weather

Rains and Pleasant Weather in North:

Since Phet crossed into Northwest India, widespread rainfall has been reported from many parts in the region, as the system had interacted with a prevailing western disturbance, and formed the mini W.D,

The ongoing rainfall due to this in the North/Northwest has pushed the heat further South and South-east to cover pockets of Bihar, Orissa, and Chhattisgarh.

Also, as anticipated, heavy unseasonal snow in Lahaul-Spiti and widespread rain in middle and lower hill areas provided much-needed relief to people from sweltering heat and dry spell.

The twin valleys of Lahaul and Sipti recorded heaviest snow for June for the past several decades. Keylong, the district headquarters, had received 10 inches of snowfall by the evening and it was still continuing. The Kunzum Pass and Kibber and other higher areas received even more.
