From Snow to Sixties in 8 days
As recent as April 2nd, I was driving from Sanquhar to Dumfries (Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland) and snow began falling and a morning in which the temperature fell to as low as -4C at home and -7C over the Highlands with many places including the hills just north of my house covered by a mid-winter-like snowcover. Interestingly today, April 10th after a morning low down to 35 degrees and frost on my car, the day warmed nicely under a strong, April sun and high pressure in control to a mild and pleasant 61 degrees here at my house, other places such as Edinburgh, and even the ground-zero of winter, Aviemore warmed at one point this afternoon to 64 degrees whilst at tyhe same time it topped 61 both here and in Glasgow… Warmest since October! Tomorrow may top out at or near 65 degrees with some spots in the UK topping 70 degrees.
