My intentions today was to head up the Campsies and photograph as well as measure the remaining snow up there only to find NOTHING but a few tiny patches of snow. Highs above 10C and persistently mild, rainy nights has all but erased the sight of winter. It’s like it was never there and soon enough in the not so distant future, many will forget about this winter. The severity of this winter will be forgotten by most, how it felt some of those mornings when stepping out the door. How we cherish our modern central heating systems and praise those hardy souls bad in the good old days when cold was even worse and yes without all the modern technology we have today which makes any kind of winter not as bad as what it once was.
I hope to have my UK Winter summary online within the next day or so and once that has been completed and posted, I shall close the book at winter and look towards the summer of 2010.
More “before and after” Campsies snow pics will go on the facebook fan page tomorrow!
Thanks for reading.
