High 49 degrees (12.43pm) Low 44 degrees (N/A)
RAIN: Morning rain
It was a classic Atlantic dominated flow of very mild, moist air that was pushing in out of the SW. It was even up at 46 degrees as of 6.55am and steadily rose to a balmy peak of 49 degrees as of 12.43pm this afternoon. After a morning dominated by a drizzly rain with low visibilty thanks to both cloud and even some fog at higher levels, the weather cleared by late morning and even some sunshine appeared by lunchtime and further cleared to just some patchy cloud by mid to late afternoon. Now, in between weather systems tonight, skies will remain clear enough and winds light for a touch of frost this evening and a low by morning close to freezing if not a little below. The temperature currently sits at 38 degrees, down some 11 degrees from this afternoon and if we drop towards freezing we may see an overnight some 12 degrees cooler than last night simply because of a mild, moist Atlantic flow out of the southwest which has passed and one of those “mini highs between lows” senarios will play this evening bringing a cooler night… No wind and clear skies at this time of year almost always spells frost..
