>For those of you who don’t like the cold, just be glad it’s cloudy! Despite those -10sC showing up where the skies are clear, it’s not been bad, plenty of snow now on the ground and the right pattern setup showing for me that this cold period now firmly in control is screaming for colder times ahead for New Year and much of January, I’m affraid.

The United States and Western Europe as well as our friends across in much of Asia should be prepared for the worst of winter to strike in early January, perhaps one of the coldest New Years Day’s in 10 to 20 years is ahead when combining the entire hemisphere, record cold may usher in 2010 for areas of the US, UK, Europe and Asia?

We’ve been cloudy the past few days which is holding our temperatures up, it’s not really cold but I believe the coldest air of the season is lurking and with that snow now on the ground and a colder period than now ahead, that snow may remain until at least January 10th!

Thanks for reading.
