>BIGGEST DECEMBER STORM IN 100 YEARS FOR PHILADELPHIA WITH 22.9″. WASHINGTON DC RECIEVED IT’S BIGGEST IN DECEMBER WITH 21 STRAIGHT HOURS OF SNOWFALL. ACCUMMULATIONS TOTALLING 15″ AT REAGEN AIRPORT, BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON 20.5″ AND DULLES 16″.

From the Appalachains to Atlantic seaboard, it is all but buried beneath anywhere from 2-6 inches to as much as 25 to 30 inches in the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia.. 30-50 mph winds combined with heavy snow, thunder and lightening created blizzard conditions and havoc to all forms of travel.
