>The weather is very interesting these days globally with the events across Australia, the flooding in Tunisia, SOCAL is back to the fires and heat whilst Atlanta is under water… Bring it on!!

AUSTRALIA DUSTSTORMS: Residents of Sydney thought the world was ending!

STRONG WINDS BROUGHT AUSTRALIA’S HOSTILE INTERIOR DESERT INTO THE COUNTRY’S LARGEST METROPOLITAN AREA, CREATING FEAR AND HAVOC! The strong low spinning it’s way across the vast expanse of Australia’s desert, powerful winds blew across the desert collecting vast amounts of the desert sand and pulling it through the air to the coast where Sydney and other coastal cities have be deluged not in rain but red dust that made many think the world was ending when they wakened and opened their curtains to a scene more reminicent of a new Armaggedon movie. The scenes were something never witnessed before in modern times as this event is said to be one of the worst in over 70 years. The dust cloud enveloped Sydney bringing chaos on the roads and in the skies as well as bringing terrible breathing issues to all who ventured outdoors. Flights were redirected to other locations as the strong wind, thick dust combo brought exceptionally low visibility.

The reasoning behind such an event is that a storm system rolling west to east across Australia’s inland deserts brought a cold front which had very intense winds that blew from inland where the core of low pressure was towards Sydney and the ocean. Normally we see dust storms but they usually only effect inland locations and not coastal areas and of course major metropolitan areas such as Sydney. This is a very exceptional and rare event for this region indeed.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA: 100-degree heat, Aridness, Wind and Fire is back!

It’s back! 101 degrees recorded yesterday at Long Beach, that was comparable to Palm Springs believe it or not which is some 120-130 miles inland and in the heart of the Colorado desert. Downtown Los Angeles once again hit the 100-degree mark to make that the third or forth times that has occured this year. Wildfires are also back in full force, taking advantage this time by actual winds that are associated with a Santa Ana type set up with high pressure inland and low pressure spinning offshore which of course creates a tight pressure gradient between the two which the unique, complex geography of Southern California takes advantage of as winds go from high pressure to low pressure, these winds not only downslope the coast ranges which compress and heat up the air but become shifty as these hairdrier-like winds snake in and around tight canyons and valleys which force them to intensify in speed as their squeezed, the more their squeezed the faster they blow and that is often a real problem for firefighters and can cause property damage and all sorts. These winds also dry out as they are compressed through decent and this is what allows fuel for fires. These winds bring 100 degree heat even in mid-summer to areas of Southern California..

This situation at the moment at least isn’t a full blown Santa Ana, sure there is high winds in places as well as the intense heat and low humidity but we aren’t seeing those hurricane force winds..

ATLANTA’S RECORD DELUGE: People swept away by urban flood waters.

As Atlanta partially drowned under intense 48-hour rains that dumped 20+ inches we have seen scenes rarely seen and probably in many cases never seen across the city of Atlanta. Countless images and video have displayed images of 5 feet of standing water within suburban neighbourhoods, floodwaters with raw sewage in them and cars completely submerged. Even stories of mothers who clutched onto their children only to have them swept away by the intense power of the raging waters. A devastating scene, but one of reality at the present time… Why did this occur? Was it global warming? More likely it was a reaction to a pattern that’s been continuing to develop over recent years and also El Nino.

Why all the wierd and wacky weather across the world? I shall post tomorrow on my global warming blog http://truthbehindthescience.blogspot.com/ on why I believe these events are happening.

Thanks for reading.

    >I saw these pictures of dust filled air in Australia. It's a bit like the beginning of the end with all these freak events happening. "The day after tomorrow" could be upon us. What do you think will be the next big event? Major tornadoes ripping up skyscapers in new york?
